McDonald’s boss fired for dipping his McNugget

McDonald's apply for a job

McDonald’s has fired its chief executive after he admitted to a relationship with a fellow employee.

The US fast food giant said the relationship was consensual, but company policy expressly forbids staff from dipping their McNuggets in the office.

In an email to staff, the businessman acknowledged the relationship but said that in hindsight it was a mistake to spread his Big Mac sauce over a pair of warm floury baps, in contravention of company policy.

“McDonald’s is at heart a family company, and I realise that headlines concerning where the CEO has been dipping his pickle do not align with brand values,” he said.

“Like many of our customers, nothing makes me happier than a good Banana Milkshake or the occasional thrill of a Double Sausage and Egg McMuffin.

“But I accept that the boardroom table is not the place for consenting adults to enjoy a quick McFlurry and so I’ll take my final Happy Meal to go.”

A spokesman for McDonald’s said the company’s rules strictly prohibit managers from sharing their Big Mac with employees.

Despite the loss of their CEO, McDonald’s are predicting record profits in the third quarter of 2019, thanks in part to the December general election.

Milkshake sales are expected to peak after Nigel Farage announced on Sunday that he would be making appearances across the country throughout November.
